EIBank appoints chief financial officer

DUBAI, July 5, 2017

Emirates Investment Bank (EIBank), an independent private bank based in the UAE, has appointed Imad Bou Khouzam as its new chief financial officer.

In his new role, Khouzam will lead the finance, operations and IT departments, said a statement from EIBank.

He brings over 24 years of experience in banking and finance in Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Khouzam's experience includes 15 years with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) in senior leadership roles as chief financial officer and chief operating officer covering Lebanon, Qatar and the UAE.

Prior to this, he also worked for Scotiabank, Metropolitan Bank and KPMG in Lebanon.

Khouzam holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and he is an INSEAD Certified senior management professional.

Welcoming the appointment, CEO Khaled Sifri said Khouzam was an invaluable addition to the team of seasoned finance and banking experts.

"The wealth of experience he brings with him, having built and managed the finance, compliance and risk functions of reputable regional and international institutions across the Middle East, will add further depth to our offering and the way in which we serve our clients," he observed.

On his new role, Khouzam said: "EIBank enjoys a niche position in the private banking industry. Its long history in the UAE and the wider GCC region, together with its global offering and client base, gives the bank a holistic insight into providing best-in-class solutions for its clients."

“I am very excited to join the organisation as it embarks on the next phase of its growth journey,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
