DUBAI, July 4, 2016
Paladion, a specialised information risk-management provider, said it has partnered with UAE-based Noor Bank, a leading Shari'a compliant bank, to implement the ISO Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The bank has also been awarded with ISO certifications for Quality Management ISO 9001:2015 and Information Security Management System ISO 27001:2013.
With this prestigious international certification under its belt, Noor Bank has became one of the few institutions in the country that has been certified on the latest International Quality Management standards laid by ISO.
Commenting on the achievement, Padmanabhan S.V, the chief technology officer at Noor Bank, said: "Information security is critical to us, as a single security breach can substantially damage our customer confidence as well as our market competitiveness. We are committed to maintain high security levels and integrity of information."
Noor Bank technology management executives Fahad Siddiqui and Khaldoun Al Khalidi also pointed out that adoption of ISO standards demonstrates its commitment to provide outstanding customer experience to clients and assuring them of high quality and security at all touch-points.
“We are glad that Noor Bank has raised its security bar by adopting latest ISO standards," said Firosh Ummer, the managing director for MEA at Paladion.
"This will help the Bank establish and maintain an effective information management system, using a continual improvement approach. The standard specifies the requirement for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and improving a documented Information Security Management System within the context of the bank’s overall business risk," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
