Diebold opens new MEA office in Dubai

DUBAI, October 21, 2015

Diebold, a leading global provider of innovative self-service technology, has opened its new office in Dubai Internet City, which will serve as headquarters and the hub for the company’s operations in the Middle East and Africa.

The office will be headed by Antonio Antonuccio; the company’s recently appointed managing director and vice president for Middle East and Africa.

Diebold will continue to work closely with its regional partners to develop and deliver new ATM business solutions to the local banking sector, including new software-driven ATM services and state-of-the art security solutions.

“The demand for self-service solutions in the Middle East and Africa is expected to see substantial growth over the next four years,” said Antonuccio.

“Statistics from RBR forecast that there will be around 6,300 ATMs in the UAE and almost 23,000 ATMs in Saudi Arabia by 2020, an increase of 22 per cent and 48 per cent respectively from 2014 levels.

“In line with this projection, Diebold is aiming to grow its footprint in the region and increase its market share by working closely with leading financial institutions in the design and implementation of innovative market strategies, enabled by Diebold’s latest technology solutions. Our aim is to ensure that Diebold’s customers gain a competitive edge by being able to work more efficiently, flexibly and securely through continuous innovation and purposeful adoption of new technologies,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
