Citi launches new Mena CEO award
MANAMA, March 12, 2015
Citi, a leading global bank, has launched the Mena Chief Executive Officer’s (Mena CEO’s) Award, a new high profile and exclusive award which is open to all Citi employees across the region in 2014.
This new award is intended to recognize exceptional contributions by Citi employees in one of the following categories: Innovation, Customer Service, Corporate Social Responsibility and Common Purpose.
Bahrain is eligible for three winners in total per year that will be given on an annual basis to three lucky winners.
Three of Citi Bahrain’s team won the inaugural Mena CEO’s awards for the year 2014 in different categories.
In a ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters, Atiq Ur-Rehman, Citi’s CEO for Mena was joined by Mazin Manna, Citi Bahrain CEO and senior management during which they presented the awards to the winners.
Ashwini Bonney from Global Consumer Bank received the Mena CEO’s Award in recognition of her excellence in Exceptional Service and Common Purpose. She is the only female relationship manager in the Wealth Management team, and is the highest contributor to the Wealth Management business.
“I am proud that in the first quarter of 2014 alone, Ashwini broke all records by achieving the highest monthly and quarterly revenue targets in the entire history of the Wealth Management business in Bahrain. Her efforts deserve the highest appreciation, not just because of her sales achievements, but in light of exceptional client service with testaments from a number of her clients,” said Manna.
Mahmood Adel Jasim, from Operations & Technology, received the Mena CEO’s Award in recognition of his Innovative ideas and services that were unique and helped the franchise improve its performance and increase its efficiency.
“He [Jasim] was innovative in reducing time spent on activities and ensured zero operations loss incurred on branches assigned to him during 2013. In addition, he participated in many other development projects handled by the team”, added Mazin.
One of Citi Bahrain’s employees, Reema Al-Rabea from the Compliance Team, received the Mena CEO’s Award for her active Corporate Social Responsibility volunteering in INJAZ Bahrain programs, Global Community Day, and other charity activities that the bank does throughout the year.
“Reema has been recognized by INJAZ Bahrain and Citi’s Europe Middle East and Africa CEO James Cowles during his visit to Bahrain in February 2014. She is a true example of a dedicated volunteer,” said Manna.
