MANAMA, March 5, 2015

Bahrain's Foreign Investors Association (FIA) has elected a new administrative board with Jordanian businessman Fadi Majali as president and American businessman Hisham Ayoub as the vice-president.

Other key officials are secretary to the board Rabie AbuSufian, treasurer Oksana A K, information and public relations committee chairman Mohanned Madhi, investor relations committee chairman Mark Hughes and member Sami Lulu, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The US, the UK, India, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and Palestine are represented on the board through members.

Majali said FIA would work to promote Bahrain abroad to attract foreign investment and operate as an entity which would help investors safeguard and develop their investments.

He said it was important that Bahrain competed effectively with other countries in attracting foreign investment.

Foreign investment, he said, would help to accelerate development, transfer advanced technology, create jobs opportunities and increase exports. - TradeArabia News Service
