Tadhamon appoints CEO for Bahrain unit

MANAMA, November 9, 2014

Yemen-based Tadhamon International Islamic Bank, a sharia’a-compliant bank, has appointed Ahmed Hatam Sultan as chief executive officer for Bahrain Tadhamon Capital, a major Islamic investment company.

“We are confident of Ahmed Sultan’s ability to lead the company and the business team using his extensive banking and investment experience and wish him all the best and success in the future,” said Abdul Gabber Hayel Saeed, Group chairman.

“Over the past six years Tadhamon Capital has been able to demonstrate its ability to be one of the leading investment companies based out of the region mainly due to the continuous support of the company’s shareholder, Tadhamon International Islamic Bank (TIIB) and Hayel Saeed Anam (HSA) Group,” said Sultan.

Sultan has over 20 years’ Banking experience where he was the executive director of Treasury and Capital Markets at the company. Prior to joining Tadhamon Capital in January 2011, Sultan occupied senior positions with reputable financial institutions in Bahrain including Venture Capital Bank, BBK, National Bank of Bahrain and TAIB Bank.

Sultan holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bahrain; and is a graduate of the Gulf Executive Development Program (GEDP) from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. – TradeArabia News Service
