PBME appoints top officials in Bahrain

MANAMA, October 15, 2014

Bahrain-based PineBridge Investments Middle East (PBME) has appointed Sabah Khalil Almoayyed as independent chairwoman of its board of directors and Anthony Mallis as independent vice-chairman.

The regional arm of global multi-asset-class investment manager PineBridge, PBME covers the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey and invests in real estate and private equity across the region, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Almoayyed, former general manager and executive director of Eskan Bank, and Mallis, former chief executive of Securities and Investment Company, both bring expertise in financial services and extensive experience.

"Almoayyed and Mallis are high-calibre independent directors who will bring to the table vast expertise and experience, both in the corporate world and the sphere of social development," PBME chief executive Talal Alzain said.

"Their appointments reinforce our corporate governance and transparency, and support our contribution to the socio-economic development of the region," he added.

Almoayyed has over 30 years of expertise with international, investment and commercial banks and sits on the board of financial institutions, universities and social organisations. Mallis has over 34 years of international banking experience. - TradeArabia News Service
