KPMG sets up alumni network in Bahrain

Manama, August 13, 2014

KPMG in Bahrain has launched a project to bring together more than 300 professionals in the kingdom who have worked for the leading provider of audit, advisory and tax services either locally or overseas.

The alumni programme aims at pooling shared knowledge and insights of the professional world, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Those identified have been invited to be part of the network.

“Any good business person knows that nurturing relationships is key to keeping on top of your profession,” KPMG in Bahrain managing partner Jamal Fakhro said.

“It's great that we are able to bring together or reconnect with old friends and colleagues to share experiences and their thoughts on the business world,” he added.

“KPMG's alumni programme is an exciting initiative to rekindle relationships,” said Nawaf Al Maskati, who's now director of sales and marketing at Maskati Bros and Company.

“From a business perspective, it allows you to stay abreast of your contacts' new ventures and the latest industry insights; and on a personal front, you get a chance to know what's new with your old friends and co-workers.

“I look forward to taking part in the upcoming activities.”

Another alumni Vivek Kapoor said he was looking forward to more interaction with KPMG and past colleagues and friends through the programme.

Members of the alumni community will receive regular updates, invitations to KPMG alumni functions and access to news and insights. - TradeArabia News Service
