Al Ansari backs UAE water aid campaign

Al Ansari Exchange, a leading remittance and foreign exchange service provider, has donated Dh1 million ($267,000) to the ‘UAE Water Aid’ initiative, which aims to provide clean drinking water for five million people around the world.
Mohammad Ali Al Ansari, chairman and managing director, Al Ansari Exchange, said: “Supporting the ‘UAE Water Aid’ campaign is a national and humanitarian duty. Our participation in this campaign stems from Al Ansari Exchange’s commitment to contribute effectively to UAE leadership’s efforts to make the country a leader in global humanitarian philanthropy.”
The campaign will start on the first day of Ramadan in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Society and a number of charities and humanitarian organizations in the country.
Various relevant important institutions, the private sector, and media groups will also actively participate in the government-led initiative. The campaign aims to provide clean drinking water for five million people around the world through digging wells and providing water pumps in areas in need of water purification equipment. – TradeArabia News Service
