Expert to discuss financial institutions' evaluation

Manama, June 23, 2014

A leading financial expert will discuss the issue of evaluating the market price of banking institutions at a key luncheon meeting being hosted by The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) tomorrow (June 24).

The BAB's quarterly chief executives' luncheon, to be held at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain, will be addressed by Chiradeep Ghosh, senior research analyst at Bahrain-based regional investment bank, Securities and Investment Company (SICO).

At the event, entitled "Buy, Hold or Sell? How Analysts Really Rate Banks," Ghosh's presentation will reveal what matters most to equity research analysts when they evaluate financial institutions.

He will also take a special look at the critical parameters and ratios that interest analysts, in particular capital adequacy ratios and their impact on the profitability and risk profile of banks.

The presentation will be followed by a live case study.

A CFA charter holder, Ghosh holds an MBA in finance, and is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology. SICO is a regional provider of in-depth proprietary research.-TradeArabia News Service
