Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has signed a co-operation agreement with the Bahrain Economic Society to add a new dimension to their contribution to the economic development of the kingdom.

The agreement was signed by BCCI chairman Dr Essam Fakhro and society chairman Dr Jaffar Mohammed Al Sayegh, in the presence of acting chief executive Nabeel Al Mahmood and the administrative team of BCCI, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication..

Dr Fakhro said the BCCI and the society will develop the prospects of co-operation and consultations on vital features of economic development, including draft laws and decrees relating to the national economy.

Dr Al Sayegh said the agreement will boost mutual exchange of expertise and consultations to deliver value-added services to the national economic development.

He said the expertise of the society will be available to BCCI to enhance their services in the economic sphere.

Al Mahmood said that the agreement will help deliver value-added services to the business community.

The BCCI has signed a number of co-operation and partnership agreements with various key organisations enabling it to engage more specialised bodies to enhance the scope and diversification of its services to the private sector that plays a vital role in the national economy.-TradeArabia News Service
