Man appoints new COO
Dubai, September 2, 2010
Man, a leading alternative investment management business, has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Roman for the newly created role of chief operating officer.
The appointment follows the completion of the acquisition of GLG partners by the company, Man said.
Pierre Lagrange will continue in his role of senior managing director of GLG, overseeing investment management and running GLG’s flagship European long short equity strategy among others. Noam Gottesman will remain co-CEO of GLG with Emmanuel Roman and will run GLG’s global opportunity strategy.
Peter Clarke, chief executive of Man, said: “The combination of Man and GLG will bring together a wealth of talent with comprehensive investor solutions and a strong performance focus. Since joining GLG in 2005, after 18 years with Goldman Sachs, Manny Roman has done a fantastic job in developing its business, alongside Noam and Pierre and the GLG Senior Advisory Group. I am delighted that Manny has accepted this new broader role, which will leverage his deep trading, operational and business management experience, right across the enlarged group.” – TradeArabia News Service
