India's ICICI Bank has appointed Vikash Sharma as the country head, Bahrain, who will be responsible for the bank's retail business in the region.

Sharma has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry and the oil sector. He will also be responsible for ICICI's wholesale banking operations in Middle East and Africa.

Sharma joined ICICI Bank in 2004 as part of the International Financial Institutions Group.

In addition to exploring new markets and innovative structures to diversify the investor base of the bank, he was also responsible for raising foreign currency liabilities and enhancing relationships with financial institutions.

He is a commerce graduate and a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India. – TradeArabia News Service
