Visit Qatar has received a GCC-level award recognising Outstanding Companies in Workforce Nationalisation for its efforts to empower national talent within Qatar’s tourism sector.
Abdulaziz Al Mawlawi, Chief Executive Officer of Visit
Qatar, received the award from Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy
Prime Minister of Bahrain, during a ceremony in Manama held on the sidelines of
the 12th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers of Labour.
The recognition highlights Visit Qatar and Qatar Tourism’s
efforts to attract, develop and retain Qatari professionals, creating
opportunities for national talent to contribute to the visitor experience and
the sector’s growth.
The award follows Qatar Tourism’s receipt of the Qatar
Government Excellence Award, recognising its performance, institutional
excellence and commitment to public sector governance.
Held annually, the GCC awards celebrate organisations and
individuals contributing to workforce nationalisation and promote the exchange
of expertise and experience among GCC countries. -TradeArabia News Service
