Riyadh Air has opened ticket sales for a new three-times-weekly service between Riyadh and Jakarta, with flights starting November 16, 2026, expanding the airline’s growing Asian network to its 16th destination.
The service will connect King Khalid International Airport
with Soekarno–Hatta International Airport using Riyadh Air’s Boeing 787-9
Dreamliners, featuring the airline’s latest cabin interiors and onboard
experience.
The new route links the capitals of Saudi Arabia and
Indonesia, Southeast Asia’s largest economy, amid growing trade, business
travel and religious tourism between the two countries.
Bilateral trade reached $6.6 billion in 2025 and totaled
$2.6 billion in the first half of 2026.
Riyadh Air said the direct service will support government,
diplomatic and corporate travel while providing a new gateway for Indonesian
religious visitors travelling to Saudi Arabia.
Beyond point-to-point connectivity, the Jakarta route will
allow passengers to connect through Riyadh to destinations across Riyadh Air’s
expanding global network.
The airline said additional destinations are expected to be announced in the coming days and weeks as it continues expanding its international network.
Tony Douglas, Chief Executive Officer of Riyadh Air, said: “Opening ticket
sales for Jakarta marks another important milestone in Riyadh Air’s rapid
expansion across Asia and the continued growth of our global network. This new
direct connection between Riyadh and Jakarta will strengthen the ties between two
important G20 nations, supporting growing business, tourism and religious
travel while providing guests from Indonesia with seamless access to the
Kingdom and our expanding network beyond Riyadh. We look forward to welcoming
guests on board our state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and delivering
the exceptional, digitally led experience and authentic Saudi hospitality that
define Riyadh Air." -TradeArabia News Service
