Web in Travel (WiT) Singapore 2026 opened today (September 30) with more than 85 senior travel and technology leaders gathering for the three-day event, running from September 30 to October 2 in Singapore.
Held under the theme “21: A New Beginning” to mark WiT’s
21st anniversary, the conference is expected to attract nearly 500 industry
professionals to discuss how technology, changing consumer behaviour and global
uncertainty are reshaping travel.
The speaker line-up includes senior executives from major
Asian and international travel companies, including AirAsia, Agoda, JTB, Klook,
MakeMyTrip, Skyscanner, eTraveli Group, Booking.com, AirAsia MOVE, ixigo and
Mews.
They are joined by leaders from Expedia Group, Airbnb,
Trip.com Group, Rakuten Group, Amadeus, Visa, Google, TikTok, Alibaba Cloud,
The Ascott, Wego, Spotnana and Pelago by Singapore Airlines, alongside
investors from several venture capital firms.
"This is the widest and most diverse line-up we have
ever assembled, and it is deliberately uncomfortable," said Siew Hoon
Yeoh, founder of Web in Travel (WiT). "We have put the incumbents and the
challengers – both global and Asia-based – and the people writing the cheques
on the same stage at the moment when nobody can honestly say who wins the next
decade."
The event’s opening day at Pan Pacific Singapore features
the WiT Bootcamp, an invite-only Next Generation Leaders Roundtable, the finals
of the Agentic AI Hackathon organised with Alibaba Cloud and Atlas, and the
Global Travel Tech Thinktank.
The thinktank will bring together 50 industry leaders to
examine emerging opportunities and challenges facing the sector.
The Main Stage will move to Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention
Centre on October 1 and 2, with the programme organised across seven themes
covering Asia’s evolving travel market, technology, innovation, growth and
future investment.
The programme will also feature the WiT Phocuswright Global
Startup Pitch and The Great WiT Debate, before concluding with the WiT For Good
Charity Auction 2026.
WiT Singapore attracts senior decision-makers, founders,
investors and emerging leaders from more than 30 countries each year.
The 2026 event is supported by platinum sponsors
Booking.com, Expedia, Protect Group and Visa.
The conference comes as travel companies across Asia and beyond continue to assess the impact of artificial intelligence, digital platforms and changing consumer expectations on the industry, while seeking new opportunities for growth in the region. -TradeArabia News Service
