Sharqia Development Authority has announced that it has received the go-ahead from the Saudi authorities for its Misk Tarout masterplan for Darin and Tarout Island, thus paving the way for new urban, economic and environmental development projects in the Eastern Region.

The plan was developed by the Sharqia Development Authority in cooperation with the Tarout and Darin Island Development Foundation and Al Seif Real Estate Company, the authority said.

The plan aims to unlock development and investment opportunities on the islands while creating a planning and regulatory framework for sustainable projects, reported SPA citing Sharqia Development Authority. officials.

Eastern Region Governor and Chairman of the Sharqia Development Authority Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz said the approval marked an advanced stage in the development of the islands and would help integrate economic, urban and environmental considerations.

Acting CEO Talal bin Nabil Almaghlouth said the plan would support investors by providing a framework aimed at turning investment opportunities into viable and sustainable projects, while improving investment efficiency and confidence in the Eastern Region.

Prince Saud also praised Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support for development in the Eastern Region and efforts to promote sustainable use of its development assets.
