Qatar Airways expands tourism partnerships, digital offering at ATM 2026

Qatar Airways showcased its latest premium travel products, digital innovations and onboard connectivity solutions at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 in Dubai, highlighting its efforts to enhance the passenger experience across the travel journey.

At its immersive pavilion, visitors explored interactive displays featuring the airline’s latest technologies and loyalty offerings, including Q Search, Infinite Awards and QVerse Island, Qatar Airways’ first-ever digital destination in Fortnite.

On the sidelines of ATM, Qatar Airways expanded its tourism partnership portfolio by signing Memoranda of Understanding with the Kenya Tourism Board, Jordan Tourism Board, Sri Lanka Promotions Bureau, Tourism Malaysia, Visit New Port Beach and Visit Maldives. The agreements aim to strengthen global travel through the airline’s Doha hub at Hamad International Airport and explore new opportunities for tourism promotion across key leisure markets.

Qatar Airways also highlighted its Starlink connectivity programme. As the first airline in the MENA region to introduce Starlink onboard, the carrier said up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights now operate daily, with more than 150 equipped widebody aircraft offering high-speed Wi-Fi.

Since the launch of Starlink connectivity in October 2024, more than 25 million passengers have connected to the service across more than 96,000 Qatar Airways flights, according to the airline.

The carrier also showcased its Qsuite Next Gen, designed around comfort, privacy and flexibility. The premium suites feature 4K OLED manoeuvrable in-flight entertainment screens and can accommodate up to four passengers in the Quad Suite or two in the Companion Suite.

Visitors at ATM were able to explore features including adjustable privacy controls, digitally controlled personal dividers and a dedicated ‘Make My Bed’ button for Qatar Airways’ turn-down service.

Qatar Airways also presented QVerse Island, its digital destination in Fortnite launched earlier this year. The virtual experience recreates Doha and Hamad International Airport, allowing players to explore landmarks and attractions while completing mission-based challenges with guidance from Sama, the airline’s digital cabin crew.

The experience is available to ATM visitors through two interactive stations.

The airline’s Privilege Club also showcased Infinite Awards, an AI-powered conversational experience designed to help members plan how to reach their preferred destinations and collect Avios. The platform provides personalised suggestions for earning Avios through Privilege Club’s network of loyalty partners and can recommend destinations based on users’ interests and travel aspirations.

Another featured innovation was Q Search, a conversational AI solution integrated into the Qatar Airways website. The tool is designed to provide instant answers about the airline’s products and services, allowing users to interact with the platform through natural-language questions.

Qatar Airways said Q Search forms part of its broader strategy to use AI-powered solutions to improve customer engagement and make interactions more intuitive throughout the travel journey.

Together, the airline’s ATM showcase highlighted its focus on combining premium cabin experiences, high-speed connectivity, tourism partnerships and digital technologies as it continues to develop its global customer offering.-TradeArabia News Service
