Zededa, a leader in edge intelligence, said it has sealed an agreement with VAS Limited, a value-added distributor of global technology solutions, to bring its Edge Intelligence Platform to customers across the kingdom with plans to expand into the wider GCC region.

Deployments across hundreds or thousands of sites are rarely a single product decision. They involve hardware sourcing, multi-vendor integration, on-site commissioning and long-term operational support, all delivered inside the Kingdom. 

VAS Limited provides that layer. Zededa provides the platform that deploys, secures and operates applications across the enterprise from one place. The agreement also establishes a joint go-to-market motion, pairing Zededa’s technology with the integration and support practice VAS Limited brings as a value-added distributor.

VAS Limited was established in Saudi Arabia in 2024 as the regional office of VAS Integrated Solutions. Its vendor-certified engineering teams span data centers, virtualization, cloud enablement, storage, security and network infrastructure, and its services practice covers the full project lifecycle, from advisory and design through deployment, training and ongoing support. 

The company’s focus on developing Saudi technical talent aligns the partnership with the local capability goals set out in Vision 2030.

First Joint Solution: Edge AI Video Analytics

The partnership’s initial solution targets edge AI video analytics for branch and remote sites. GPU-accelerated edge appliances ingest camera streams and run AI inference at the point where data is generated, so detection and alerting can continue independently of wide-area network conditions. 

Third-party network and security functions, including firewalling and multi-path connectivity across wide-area, local-area and cellular links, can run as virtualised workloads on the same appliance, consolidating what would otherwise be a stack of separate boxes at every location.

The architecture puts local AI decision-making at every site alongside centralized security visibility, policy enforcement and fleet management, with both the workloads and the control plane that governs them remaining inside the Kingdom.
