Qatar to host month-long  Virtuocity Battle Ground 2026 esports championship

Qatar Calendar has announced the return of Virtuocity Battle Ground (VBG) Qatar 2026, a month-long esports championship running from September 1 to 30 at Virtuocity, Doha Festival City.

The tournament will bring together gamers, content creators and fans from across the region, featuring a $200,000 prize pool across seven internationally recognised titles: VALORANT, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, EA Sports FC 26, Tekken 8 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Presented by Qatar Calendar and powered by Ooredoo Nation, the event is supported by Al Kass Sports Channel as media partner, with the Qatar Esports Federation and Snoonu City as major sponsors.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, VBG Qatar 2026 will feature online and LAN qualifiers before culminating in live Grand Finals across multiple gaming platforms.

The championship highlights Qatar’s expanding esports and digital entertainment sector, providing a platform for players, creators and fans while reinforcing the country’s growing role as a host of major technology-driven events.
