Qatar's government tenders and bids achieved a total value of QR8.6 billion ($2.35 billion) during the first quarter of 2026, according to a Ministry of Finance (MOF) has announced.
In a post on its X platform, the MOF said QR6.3 billion of these tenders was awarded to local companies, registering an increase of 59 percent, while QR2.3 billion was awarded to foreign companies, representing an increase of 53 percent compared to the same period in 2025.
MOF pointed out that health, municipal and environment, culture and sports, and energy sectors topped the sector performance index during the first quarter of 2026.
