Mazad, a leading digital auctions and marketplace platform in Bahrain, and a Mumtalakat portfolio company, has announced the launch of a special auction for a unique three‑digit vehicle license plate number, 994, in response to the growing demand for distinctive triple‑digit plates. 

The bidding has kicked off with a starting price of BD100,000 ($263,015) onwards and the plate will be awarded to the highest bidder when the auction closes on March 31, 2026, at 4pm.

In line with Mazad’s commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent digital auction experience, customers can start bidding instantly by placing their deposit through the official app. 

All participants will be subject to the terms and conditions set by the relevant authorities, it stated.

On this special launch, CEO Nezar Habib said: "Following the overwhelming success of our previous three‑digit license plate auction held earlier this year, where we sold plate numbers 796, 186, and 257 and generated remarkable public interest, we were keen to build on this momentum by introducing a new auction for the distinctive plate 994, catering to the strong demand we are seeing for triple‑digit numbers."
