Oman unveils first locally made thermal oxidiser

The first Thermal Oxidiser (TO) to be completely designed, engineered, manufactured, and tested inside of Oman was unveiled.

This step is a qualitative industrial achievement that reflects the Sultanate of Oman's growing capabilities in developing advanced technologies and heavy equipment for regional projects, reported ONA.

The device was manufactured for the Meliha Gas Processing Plant project affiliated with Agiba Petroleum Company in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in cooperation with SLB as the main contractor.

Majees Industrial Services, through its brand "FLAROMAN", is handling the design, manufacturing, and production operations.

This achievement highlights the advanced competency of Omani engineers and technicians, contributes to supporting the localisation of modern technologies, creating qualitative job opportunities, and enhancing the competitiveness of Omani industries.

This solidifies Oman's position as a regional supplier of high-tech industrial solutions within and outside the GCC countries.

Furthermore, local manufacturing of such devices allows for reducing project costs, accelerating execution timelines, and providing solutions specifically designed for regional operating conditions.

The Thermal Oxidiser is distinguished by several advanced technical specifications, including a burner management system, the ability to operate with natural or forced draft, and a processing capacity exceeding 9,000 kg/hour with a wide turndown range.

It also features a powerful burner that allows for an air flow of nearly 55,000 cubic metres. The device stands over 22 meters tall and has a design that ensures an operational lifespan of up to 20 years.
