Russia's Azimuth Airlines will land in Saudi Arabia for the first time on December 6, following the General Authority of Civil Aviation's granting of an economic license to the airline.
The passenger flights will operate from the cities of Makhachkala and Mineralnye Vody to Jeddah, with three weekly flights starting from December 6. From March 3, 2026, an additional route between Sochi and Riyadh will commence with two weekly flights.
The announcement comes as part of GACA’s ongoing efforts to enhance air connectivity and strengthen the kingdom’s links with the world, said a statement.
The initiative supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, establishing the kingdom as a global logistics hub, opening new horizons for travel, and aligns with the Aviation program under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
