Banana Island Resort Doha backs special education needs centre

Preparations are underway at Banana Island Resort Doha for the “Sunset Fun Run” activity, which will take place on April 21 at dusk.

The QR75 ($20.4)/per person participation fees will be donated to “Step by Step” centre for special education needs. This activity comes under the corporate social responsibility initiatives undertaken by the resort continuously.
On this occasion, Niculae Vasile, recreation and leisure manager, said: “We are delighted to be preparing for such an event that will encourage the resort’s guests to exercise and at the same time be a part of this noble cause by supporting “Step By Step” for special education needs. We have chosen to do this event at this particular time because of the moderate weather conditions that suit the requirements of this event, in addition to taking advantage of the high occupancy witnessed at the resort in this period of time to maximise the participation in this activity, bundled with entertainment and vitality.”

“To add more fun and excitement, the resort team will distribute t-shirts specially designed for this occasion to participants and various kinds of refreshments to cool down, as well as amazing prizes for the first three winners in both categories,” he added.

The Sunset Fun Run, which will stretch for 2.5 km, will kick off at 5 pm and the registration will be open for the resort’s in-house guests from 4 pm onward. Guests using the “One Day in Paradise” and “Hello Beautiful Weather” packages will also be entitled to be part of this activity. Not just dedicated to runners and athletes, in-house guests can also take a walk or jog the distance and enjoy the iconic scenery along the track while enjoying the sunset. - TradeArabia News Service
