$16m BSI-Steel factory opens in Qatar

The Building Integration Systems' (BSI Steel) factory, with an expected total investment of more than QR 60 million ($16.5 million), has been inaugurated in Qatar.
BSI-Steel is first of its kind in Qatar for the design, manufacture and supply of steel buildings up to four floors, and is a different product from the traditional method of ready clips, where high voltage iron sheets are manufactured to bridges and columns to form the required iron building occupying more space than the traditional method with less cost.
The factory setup also comes in response to the needs of the Qatari market, estimated at 5000 tons.
'We are very proud of the opening of the plant, which falls within the framework of efforts exerted by the Ministry of Energy and Industry in order to diversify the productive base of the Qatari economy,' stated Saad Aateek Muftah, chairman of BSI- Steel.
Kazem Al Rubayai, chief executive of BSI-Steel, said that the factory is built on an area of 11 thousands square meters, and is divided into two main sections: Mezzanine lounge, including the reception and offices: Administration, Engineering, IT, personnel, accounting, mosque, customer service, conference room, offices of the factory: the plant manager, monitors, quality control, shipping department, restaurant, medical clinic and maintenance.
Manufacturing Division: divided into four sections in sequence with the nature, quality of work and the product.
-Section for the manufacture of ceiling panels, walls and partitions
-Two sections for cutting, processing and manufacturing iron.
-Section to clean the manufactured iron and carry out the dye.
- Space besides the building, which is used to arrange and organise manufactured iron and preparing for shipping it to customers.-TradeArabia News Service
