Colibra rolls out ‘Fly Now, Pay if Okay’ service for UAE travellers

DUBAI, July 12, 2021

Innovative flight compensation company Colibra has announced that it is now live for users in the UAE for use. To mark its UAE launch, it is for the first time introducing its ‘Fly Now, Pay if Okay’ service in the emirates.

The company is now allowing UAE residents to use the pilot version of its app and test this new travel technology.

The ‘Fly Now, Pay if Okay’ service allows passengers with a valid UAE residency to book flights that they only pay for if their flight arrives on time.

This service is free for users of the app, allowing them to book tickets within 30 days before departure (and arrival) and then pay the regular ticket fare if their flight arrives on time or within three hours of its scheduled departure.

The Colibra app guarantees UAE residents that they do not have to pay for their plane tickets if the flight is cancelled or delayed for more than three hours.

Since its launch in 2019, Colibra has gained users from over 170 countries and is recognized as one of the go-to-apps for European travellers.

The app has generated over 100,000 installs, 40,000 active users and 50,000 trips registered. Colibra was also rated the #1 Travel App in Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Cyprus as well as in the top 10 in Greece, Romania, and Poland.

Explaining the whole concept and how the app works, a company spokesperson said: "It's very simple. First the passenger chooses a flight - it must depart and arrive within 30 days from the booking date. Then he/she adds their personal data."

"The intersting part is Colibra doesn’t charge anything at the time of booking. The passenger has to pay upon arrival if everything goes smoothly and the service is delivered. Also no extra costs are added to the ticket prices. In all other cases, the user travels for free," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
