The Dubai-based Kuwait Business Council is set to hold its first public event this year, in conjunction with "Emaar Properties" and "Gastronomica", a leading restaurant operator in the Gulf region, said a report.

Commemorated under the theme "Celebrate Kuwait", the gala will unveil a myriad of Kuwaiti youth projects representing several sectors, with festivities coming to a close at Dubai's Creek Harbor promenade on March 9 to 10, said a report in Kuwait News Agency (Kuna).

"The choice of the campaign and festival theme reflects our desire for the event to be an entertaining, family-friendly celebration for all visitors," said Luma Bourisly, a council board member and chairwoman of the organising committee.

The festival will offer an "enjoyable experience that includes musical performances, sports activities and uniquely Kuwaiti attractions that make Kuwait a popular destination for visitors from the UAE," she noted.

"I am delighted to invite Kuwaiti talents and youth projects to participate in the festival and showcase their creativity at the event, which is expected to have more than 5,000 visitors over two days," Bourisly added.

Activities will include outdoor performances by popular Kuwaiti artists, in addition to family-oriented events organised by UFC Gym, the report said.
