Manama, January 9, 2014
Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media and convergence technologies, has unveiled its near field communication (NFC) enabled colour laser printer and multi-function printers (MFPs.)
The Xpress C410W series will enable users to print high quality photos and documents from their smartphones with ease, said a statement.
The series consists of C410W colour laser printer, the C460W colour laser MFPs with print, copy and scan functionality, and the C460FW colour laser MFPs with print, copy, scan and fax capabilities.
The three models will be able to print up to 18 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white and four ppm in colour.
Manoj Ghai, acting head of IT Sales Group, said: “Our latest printing solutions are grounded in consumer’s demand, to be able to access and share information from a number of mobile devices. The Xpress C410W series demonstrates Samsung’s pioneering technology within the mobile printing and NFC market.”
The series will connect wirelessly with mobile devices for printing on the go.
The Samsung Mobile Print app will enable users to print everything from PDF files to Microsoft Office documents such as Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations directly from their smartphones.
Consumers can use the ‘One Touch Eco Button’ and ‘Easy Eco Driver’ to operate the printers in ‘eco’ mode and save up to 20 per cent in overall costs.
The new line-up also features the ‘Easy Printer Manager’ that helps home and small office users manage their software without the need for specialised IT managers. Users can monitor printer status, such as error messages, paper empty, toner empty and paper jam alerts. - TradeArabia News Service
