Oman's National Gas has signed a joint venture agreement with Qatar-based Petroserv Limited to design and supply a synthetic natural gas (SNG) system and allied equipment for the Lusail City gas farm project in Doha, a report said.

The contract value is RO832,859 ($2.1 million), the Oman Observer report said, citing a filing by the National Gas Company (NGC) to the Muscat Securities Market.

The agreement is subject to final approval by Lusail and the same is expected to be received in due course, it added.

The project is expected to be commissioned by December 2016, according to the report.
