Webinar to discuss risks across all cyber footprints

MANAMA, April 24, 2022

A webinar in Bahrain on April 25 will discuss why businesses, need to gain complete control over all cyber assets in managing vulnerabilities across all cyber footprints.

Organised by NGN International, a full-fledged systems integrator and managed security service provider based in Bahrain, the webinar is titled ‘The external attack surface is bigger than you think’.

NGN’s CEO, Yaqoob Al-Awadhi, said the webinar is part of the ‘NGN Majlis’ efforts to improve awareness of cyber security among Bahrain's institutions and individuals and to learn about the most up-to-date knowledge and worldwide trends in cyber security, as well as how to avoid or mitigate the devastating impact of cyber assaults on businesses and the economy in general.

Exposure to risk
“Digital transformation is causing an unprecedented expansion of organisational external attack surfaces. Networks are increasingly decentralised, with more assets scattered across on-premise locations, clouds, and third parties. Mass digitisation, forgotten IT, and increasingly complex infrastructure mean that organisations are more exposed and at risk than ever before,” said Al-Awadhi.

Several speakers from inside and outside Bahrain will address topics including reasons why the kill chain of most cyberattacks starts at the network perimeter, difficult-to-manage risk factors, vulnerability scanners and vulnerability assessments vs attack surface management, and the latest security solutions to manage and protect the external attack surface.

The speakers at the webinar include Sven Haers, Presales Manager -AssetZero Business Unit at Group-IB, Shah Alam, Cyber Security Manager at ALUBAF Arab International Bank, and Mohamed Sanad, Senior Manager of Information Technology at SNIC Insurance. The webinar will be moderated by Ilya Leonov, Head of Cyber Security Practice at NGN International.-- TradeArabia News Service
