Polytechnic students learn about ISPs at Zain centre

Manama, December 27, 2010

A group of students from the Bahrain Polytechnic got valuable insights into the management of telecommunications networks when they visited the Zain Bahrain Mobile Switching Centre.

The students were shown around the centre by Zain Bahrain staff who explained the working of the real ISP networks and the systems that support the entire network.

“Zain Bahrain has a very active program of engaging youth in projects that will enhance knowledge and allow them to understand the workplace of the future,” said corporate communications manager Samya Hussein.

“Besides regular visits by university students, we also have a full-fledged work program called Future University Network (FUN) where young people work with Zain mentors at Zain offices to understand and handle real-life workplace challenges.”-TradeArabia News Service
