2,500 experts for Bahrain’s Cisco event

Around 2,500 experts from 64 countries will attend Cisco Networkers, a major global conference and event in the ICT industry, being held for the first time in the Middle East in Bahrain.
The conference will be held from March 28 to 31 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. It is being organised by Bahrain and US-based Cisco International, the worldwide networking leader.
“Three hundred world renowned speakers from Cisco senior specialists will also attend the conference, who shall present their papers and lectures,” said HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Attayatallah Al Khalifa, Minister for Cabinet Affairs.
“In addition around 1,200 participants will be at the four day conference attending various activities, including 100 media representatives participating from abroad as well as many senior figures from the region who shall attend the opening ceremony,” he added.
A total booking of 4500 hotel nights have been booked in different hotels around Bahrain from the participants attending the Cisco Networkers conference, a statement said.
The conference includes five events happening simultaneously over the four days for all participants under the slogan (Knowledge is power) as well as specialised technical workshops and tests that include Cisco International certificates.
It shall also include a special event involving a selection of senior executives in a number of countries in the region. On the sidelines of the conference, Cisco is organising an interactive educational exhibition (World of Solutions) in conjunction with the sponsors of the conference.
The conference is targeting many of the technical and professional sectors, in addition to the businesses and enterprises which require interaction with the staff and the public, in view of the fact that Cisco is providing a large bouquet of technical products and other products related to the interaction with the public. – TradeArabia News Service
