Manama, September 27, 2012

The eGovernment Authority in Bahrain is taking part as a strategic partner in an upcoming conference, which will highlight the kingdom's regional role as a key player in building ICT capabilities.

The third MEET ICT2012 – Bahrain is being organised by Gulf Future Business and will be held from December 10 to 12.

The initiative reflects the authority's keenness in setting up and supporting its community partnership with non-governmental organisations and national ICT initiatives by participating in events designed to boost the growth of the ICT industry in the kingdom.

"The authority believes in the importance of expanding the growth of ICT and enhancing Bahrain's status by promoting it as a hub and centre of this field in the region, thanks to its competitive influence," said eGovernment Authority chief executive Mohammed Al Qaed.
Gulf Future Business chief executive Ahmed Al Hujairi expressed the company's happiness in taking up the organisation of the event's third year that followed the great success it attained two years ago.

The event is considered among key regional conferences that attract distinguished international presence in the industry.

MEET ICT 2012 will shed light on a collection of main topics that encompass innovation and IT, cloud computing, social media networks, mobility techniques, trends in ICT along with its related benchmarks, learning sessions, communications and networks, and IT security.
