Visitors from over 50 countries to attend Cybertech Global Dubai

Dubai, UAE, April 1, 2021

The Government of Dubai, UAE, in partnership with Cybertech, is expecting thousands of visitors, including more than a hundred speakers from the highest level of global cyber, governments, companies, R&D centres and organisations to attend the biggest cyber event ever held in GCC.

Cybertech Global, a three-day international exhibition and conference for the cyber ecosystem, will be held in Dubai from April 5 to 7, 2021.

In light of last-minute developments, including the expected arrival of VIP officials and thousands of attendees from around the world, the Government of Dubai, in partnership with Cybertech, has decided to announce a new venue for Cybertech Global: Grand Hyatt Dubai.

This is the eighth edition of the global event, which moved from Tel Aviv to Dubai under the wing of Cybertech Global. There are local Cybertech events in cities like Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, Kigali, Rome, New York and more and Cybertech Global-UAE will be marked by the profound changes brought along to the field by Covid-19.

The event is happening in partnership with Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) and in collaboration with National Cyber Security Council of UAE and many global agencies and organisations.

According to the organisers of the event, the growing dependence on online services and the digital acceleration that was enforced on many businesses created new challenges in cybersecurity.

Cybercrime, being more organised and lucrative, is also presenting new levels of risk for individuals and nations. Experts predict that 2021 will be another year of significant transition and rising threats, with attacks not only growing in frequency but becoming increasingly impactful.

How should nations treat the cyber threat? How to build resilient cyberspace or defend nuclear and other sensitive infrastructure? These are just a few of the topics to be discussed during the conference.

Leading figures in global cybersecurity will participate in Cybertech Global Dubai.

Among them are: Mohamed Hamad Hareb Al-Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity, UAE Government; Yigal Unna, Director General, Israel National Cyber Directorate, Israel; Brandon Wales, Acting Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), USA; Marwan Alzarouni, director of Information Services Department, Dubai Electronic Security Center; Gen. (ret.), David H. Petraeus, former director of the CIA; Maj. Gen. (res.) Yiftah Ron-Tal, Chairman, Israel Electric Corporation, Israel and Ann Johnson, Corporate Vice President, Cybersecurity Solutions.--TradeArabia News Service
