Asis Boats unveils electric jet tender
DUBAI, March 2, 2016
UAE-based Asis Boats, a leading manufacturer of rigid inflatable boats for leisure, commercial and military customers, has unveiled the Asis Electric Jet Tender, at the ongoing Dubai International Boat Show 2016, in Dubai, UAE.
The show which kicked of yesterday (March 1) will run till March 5, at the Dubai International Marine Club in Mina Seyahi.
The electric jet driven yacht tender is the first electric 3.2 m tender to be launched worldwide, said a statement from the company.
Aimed at environmentally conscious cruising sailor, the electric jet tender is not only economical and eco-friendly, but also safer than petrol-fuelled yacht tenders which require yacht owners to carry tanks of highly flammable fuel on board and haz mat equipment, it added.
Superyacht owners typically use tenders for shore excursions and recreational outings. The Asis electric tender allows boaters to pursue recreational pursuits and travel into sensitive, zero-emission marine zones. The tender battery can be re-charged from a power socket on the yacht or the docks. Once fully charged, the tender can operate for four hours on cruising speed, it said.
Also being showcased on the company’s stand at the event this year is the ground-breaking ASIS Outboard Amphibious craft powered by Sealegs which was launched to great acclaim last year and the Asis 8 m electric outboard tender, further added the statement.
Roy Nouhra, founder and president of Asis Boats, said: “Clean, quiet, electric propulsion is the future of the industry. The electric tender is a showpiece that makes high-power electric output a reality without sacrificing performance.”
“We are confident that the tender’s pollution free all-electric propulsion, low maintenance and astonishing performance will be well received from the yacht owners visiting the show this year,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
