Alba appoints manager of customer services, marketing

MANAMA, November 25, 2015

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a leading aluminium smelter in the world, has appointed Mohammed Khalid as the manager of customer services and marketing operations.

In his new role, Khalid will be overseeing customer service operations and marketing activities such as metal production planning, logistics, billing and documentation, pricing and market research, said a statement from the company.

He joined Alba’s marketing department in June 2011 as sales officer for GCC, Middle East and Africa and in 2013, he was promoted to head of sales GCC, Middle East and Africa. Since January 2015, he was the acting manager for customer services and marketing operations.

Khalid has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Economics and Finance (BSBA) degree from the American University of Sharjah (AUS), United Arab Emirates and an MBA from DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Tim Murray, Alba’s chief executive officer, said: “We take great pride in promoting from within the company and empowering nationals with higher education and work skills, which prepare them for greater responsibilities.”
