Property developer Nakheel is set to award contracts for two water desalination and wastewater treatment projects to serve its Waterfront development in Dubai, said a magazine report.

Each plant will be having a desalination capacity of 55,000 cubic metres a day, said the London-based Meed magazine, without giving a source.

Three firms were likely to be on the shortlist, including UAE-based Metito, Spain's Acciona and Norway's Aqualyng, its added.
