British Council Bahrain hosts eContent workshop

The British Council and the UK Alumni Network delivered an ‘eContent Management Workshop’, supported by the British Embassy. 
 
The event was attended by alumni members from entrepreneurs, corporate employees, fresh graduates and those interested to learn about eContent for their personal brands. 
 
Participants were introduced to eContent Management and the fundamentals of effectively managing and maintaining eContent. They also learned how to manage website traffic and elevate the digital customer experience. The training was delivered at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and led by Ali Hejair and Nishanth Kumar Pathi.
 
Richard Rooze, Country Director of the British Council in Bahrain, said: “As we live in a digital era where almost everything is accessible in the palm of our hands, the role of eContent Management and how to effectively portray ourselves and our businesses digitally have become more important than ever. This workshop was a fantastic way to have members of our UK Alumni network learn and share information on this topic.”
 
Lulwa Sami, UK Alumni Board Member and Communications & Marketing professional, commented: “An important factor in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s success is its widespread adoption of the most advanced digital technologies and ICT infrastructure from government and corporates to the individual. The way we communicate, we present ourselves or do business has changed thanks to the vast digital communications platforms available. It is very much ingrained in our day to day lives. Digital communications are often rooted to the art of persuasion, how you persuade your audience for call of action by crafting a strong narrative, storytelling which in today’s language is known e-Content management. Content of your personal social accounts, entity corporate website or business event promotion. This workshop was an eye opener to our alumni fresh graduates or members who are employees or are self-employed to leverage on the power of digital comms and harness the opportunities it presents.”
 
The workshop focused on eContent management essentials such as best practices pertaining to maintaining and updating content; website and social media management; managing SEO and website traffic; and elevating digital customer experience.
 
This workshop is part of the Bahrain UK Alumni Network programme, established by British Council and supported by the FCDO and UK Embassy, which offers a variety of networking, professional development and other global, regional and local opportunities to all UK graduates residing in Bahrain.  – TradeArabia News Service
