Portuguese wood companies eyeing Mideast partnerships

DUBAI, March 10, 2021

Leading wood and furniture companies from Portugal are showcasing their products at the ongoing Dubai Woodshow and are also seeking to forge new partnerships and inroads into the Middle East market.
 
Nine companies are at the show taking part under the auspices of the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP) presenting a wide array of product range from furniture, flooring to wood and luxury hardware.
 
The firms are Achilles Since 1905, Castro Wood Floors, Madeipoças, MBN Collections, MF Timber, PlacaNobre, Ribadao Wood Boutique, Ronfe Classic and X8 Solutions Group.
 
AIMMP President Vitor Poças said: "Dubai Woodshow will offer Portuguese companies a major platform to launch their products as well as seek new business partnerships in the Middle East market."
 
"The participation at the expo is also part of a structured intervention program, Inter Wood & Furniture, that seeks to support Portuguese companies expand into new growing international markets," she noted.
 
Following a successful opening day, Dubai WoodShow continued to gain momentum as it reached Day 2 attracting an even bigger number of participants from across the globe and bringing together local and international participants to boost business growth, gain industry knowledge, and build mutually rewarding networks.
 
"The large number of attendees thus far in Dubai WoodShow is a reflection of the event’s great reputation when it comes to generating opportunities and serving as a highly regarded platform for traders, exhibitors and buyers," remarked Dawood Al Shezawi, the president of the Organising Committee of Dubai WoodShow.
 
On Day 1, the event recorded huge onsite deals and also succeeded in generating sales of various woodworking machineries and wood products at a substantial volume, stated Al Shezawi.
 
"The event offered a highly dynamic environment for producers, manufacturers, importers, exporters, traders, suppliers, hobbyists and end-users through the participation of several exhibitors from different countries including Russia, Portugal, France and Turkey; informative conference sessions that discussed the latest industry trends; and numerous B2B meetings that created networking opportunities with potential business partners and key stakeholders," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
