His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa performed Eid Al Adha prayers at Al Sakhir Palace Mosque and also wished Bahrain and its people everlasting safety and progress and prosperity on the advent of the four-day Eid Al Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice), which is one of the most important holidays in the Muslim Calendar.
HM the King’s sons, senior members of the Royal Family and worshippers also performed the prayers marking the sacred day, reported BNA.
Head of the Sunni Endowments Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajiri delivered a sermon in which he highlighted the noble values embedded in Eid Al Adha and stressed the tolerant teachings of Islam in compassion, solidarity and close contacts.
He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless HM King Hamad with abundant health, happiness and long life to continue leading the nation towards further achievements, security, stability and prosperity.
He also wished Bahrain and its people everlasting safety and progress and prosperity.
Following the prayers and the sermon, HM King Hamad exchanged greetings and good wishes with worshippers, wishing the kingdom and its people further blessings and prosperity and the Arab and Islamic nations further glory and honour.
The worshippers extended their heartfelt congratulations on the auspicious occasion, wishing HM the King abundant good health and happiness, as well as success in consolidating Bahrain’s progress and prosperity.
