Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has awarded contracts worth more than QR2.2 billion ($604 million) to expand the electricity transmission network in the country's western region as it prepares to integrate power from the Dukhan solar project into the national grid.
Danway, a leading engineering firm in Saudi Arabia has signed a contract with National Grid, a key subsidiary of Saudi Energy, for the construction of a new 110/13.8kV substation in Madinah. The entire project work will be completed within a period of 23 months.
