The Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) has signed two agreements to localise the industry and transfer knowledge for electric vehicles with CEER, in exchange for inclusion on the mandatory list of national products.
Oman's Samail Industrial City, affiliated with the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), received 24 investment applications during the first half of the current year, resulting in the localisation of 12 projects alongside the expansion of two existing facilities, with a combined investment volume exceeding RO13 million ($33.81 million).
Saudi Arabia will start implementing a 70% localisation in project management professions in the private sector starting from February next year, said a report. The move, aimed at boosting the locals' participation in the labour market, is in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
