AtkinsRéalis has announced that it has been appointed as lead multidisciplinary design and supervision consultant for UAE’s ambitious Sphere Abu Dhabi project, responsible for overall design co-ordination across architecture, structural engineering and specialist immersive technologies.
UAE-based ALEC Engineering has secured a $1.7 billion construction contract for Sphere Abu Dhabi, an iconic immersive entertainment venue, coming up on Yas Island. The project scope includes design, procurement and construction work of the world’s second Sphere arena which is set for completion by 2029.
