Oman's Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones has signed RO200 million ($519 million) agreements to establish a portfolio of industrial projects across its free zones, supporting its push to build an export-oriented industrial base spanning steel, construction and industrial products, said a report.
Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has signed a finance agreement for the second phase of the internal roads project in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (Sezad). The scope of work involves paving of internal roads in the First and Second Residential Areas and the Industrial Area at Sezad.
Oman’s Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) signed a usufruct agreement with Mawarid Turbine to establish a wind turbine manufacturing and assembly plant in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD), alongside two additional agreements to install six wind turbines to generate power required to operate the plant.
