Saudi-based Arabian Drilling has announced that it has signed a contract with a new client in the GCC, thus marking its entry into a new Gulf market. The deal follows the early completion of its first international offshore drilling contract and the redeployment of the jack-up rig to another GCC country.
Arabian Drilling, Saudi Arabia’s largest drilling contractor by fleet size, said it has received notice to resume operations for its remaining suspended offshore rigs. The company expects the restart to reflect a recovery in offshore market activity and lift utilisation across its offshore fleet to 100 per cent by the end of the third quarter of 2026.
Arabian Drilling, a leading Saudi-based drilling contractor, announced the signing of three contract extensions for land rigs with a total value of SAR 1.4 billion ($373 million), adding 25 rig years to its backlog.
