Royal Caribbean International headlines again as presenting sponsor for TBO Cup
DUBAI, November 3, 2024
TBO Holidays, one of the largest travel distribution platforms globally, has announced lead sponsors for the third season of the TBO Cup — the biggest sports extravaganza for travel agents in the UAE.
Scheduled for Sunday, December 8, the one-day event will once again host 24 teams for the cricket tournament and 8 teams for the football tournament at the U Pro Sports Academy in Dubai.
Last year’s participating teams included well-known names like Musafir, Airlink International, Al Naboodah Travel, Al Rostamani Travels, Deira Travel, Bin Ham Travel, Jamal Travel Agency, Kanoo Travel, Omeir Travel, Orient Travels, Satguru Travels, and Xperienz Holidays. This year will see the addition of several new teams, including hoteliers competing in a third category, along with friendly matches featuring leading airlines.
"Being a retail agent-focused business, face-to-face engagement opportunities like these beyond work are something we continually invest in at TBO. The tournament is growing every year in participation, and the response from sponsors is a testament to its value and success," remarked Sameh Fouad, Vice President of Sales, MEA.
Royal Caribbean will once again serve as the Presenting Sponsor, joined by Associate Sponsors Amadeus, Jungfrau, and Rail Europe. Leading transfer company Transferz has joined the roster, while airlines such as Air India, Jazeera Airways, and Fly Dubai have already confirmed their support. Several top hotels are also set to join, with announcements expected soon.
"TBO Cup is the first in a series of brand engagement initiatives created in the region. It helps break the monotony of the long hours our partners dedicate to the business and provides a fantastic platform for entertainment and engagement," said Shyam Sunder, Vice President of Marketing at TBO. "In addition, we now host TBO Iftars during Ramadan and events during ATM week, bringing our buyers and suppliers together on one platform. The feedback from these initiatives has been incredibly encouraging, and we genuinely believe they will foster stronger relationships with all stakeholders." -TradeArabia News Service
