Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority

Oman, Tunisia sign air services agreement

MUSCAT, 2 days ago

Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has signed a new air services agreement, expanding on a 1985 deal with Tunisia, that aims to regulate air services between the countries and beyond. It is based on principles of open skies, allowing the airlines to operate any number of direct flights, a report said.

The agreement was signed by Naif Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The 23-articles pact regulates operational and technical aspects in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries. It introduces a special appendix that outlines the schedule of air routes.

It is worth noting that the Sultanate of Oman has so far concluded bilateral agreements in the field of air transport with as many as 124 countries around the world.
