Resorts World Cruises celebrates 2nd anniversary with 3.3m passengers to date

SINGAPORE, 3 days ago

Resorts World Cruises held a special ‘Open House’ event on Sunday (June 23) in Singapore on both its cruise ships, the Genting Dream and Resorts World One to celebrate its 2nd anniversary.

The event was open to the public for registration and the response was overwhelming with close to 1,000 attendees, which also included business and travel partners, the local authorities and members of the regional media.

Registered guests had the chance to be part of the ships’ double celebration with the exciting opportunity to experience first-hand the charm and unique features of each ship. These include interacting with the ship’s friendly crew members with special previews of the onboard facilities, accommodations, entertainment and offerings, including sampling a variety of delicious food and beverages.

The second anniversary marks a new milestone with Resorts World Cruises welcoming close to 3.3 million cruise passengers to date on its flagship the Genting Dream and Resorts World One.

With homeports in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung and now Jakarta, Resorts World Cruises will soon be adding Keelung and Dubai as homeports in July and October, respectively.
Concurrently, both cruise ships will continue to expand their footprint across Asia to over 30 destinations, which included recent destinations like Ho Chi Minh City, Con Son, Bangkok, Ko Samui and Redang Island.

As part of the celebration, Resorts World Cruises also introduced its new, charming, friendly and adventurous mascot – Pin Pin, the latest addition to the Resorts World Cruises family. Registered guests attending the double celebration were the first to meet Pin Pin up close and personal. Pin Pin loves to cruise, travel, discover new adventures and most importantly, meet new people. Pin Pin will be making its appearances regularly on both ships to make new friends and introduce thrilling activities and exciting destinations. There will also be loads of fun and games with Pin-Pin on www.rwcruises.com website to win exciting prizes.

Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises, said: “To have the Genting Dream and Resorts World One here together in Singapore for our 2nd Anniversary is truly special. Today’s ‘Open House’ celebration is our way of thanking our valued guests and also to those that had supported us over the years. We are extremely delighted with the strong turnout, as we are able to share this joyous occasion with more guests and also introduce Pin Pin, our all-new mascot.”

In conjunction with the celebration, Resorts World One also joined Genting Dream in June to receive its official OIC/SMIIC Standard Halal-Friendly Cruise Ship certification. With both ships now officially certified, Muslim travellers can have peace of mind and convenience to cruise on any of the Resorts World Cruises ships with access to certified Halal cuisines and other Muslim friendly services, the company said.

Resorts World Cruises also continue to receive various international awards and recognitions for its commitments in delivering best-in-class services and offerings. Resorts World Cruises received the ‘Best Cruise Line’ in both the ‘Cuisine’ and ‘Entertainment’ categories for the Travel Weekly Asia Readers' Choice Award 2022 & 2023 for two consecutive years. Recently, Resorts World Cruises also won the ‘Best Cruise Line’ at the TTG Travel Awards 2023, as well as the ‘Best Asian Cruise Line Award’ for Hong Kong’s Headline Daily No.1 Fun Travel Awards.
