WTM London opens for business

Travel professionals from around the world arrived in London on November 5 for three days of business at the World Travel Market (WTM), taking place in ExCeL London.
Considered as one of the world's leading travel trade events, WTM London connects the world’s travel providers with remarkable insight and opportunity. Running till November 7, the event hopes to unlock ideas that will shape the world’s plans for travel over the next five years.
Highlights
On Day 1 (November 5), WTM London opened its doors to participants at 10 am. First up was a look at the hot topic of plastic pollution and what both travellers and the travel industry can do to help.
The UK sent out a message to visitors that it is 'open for business' and WTM London is the place for #NewIdeas.
Social media was on the afternoon’s agenda when Instagram and Facebook’s head of travel, Neasa Bannon, took to the stage. Bannon provided in-depth insight into how Instagram’s audience are passionate, open to discovery and are set to utilise Instagram Stories even more in 2019 as the trend in experiential travel continues to grow.
The halls of WTM London 2018 were packed with exhibitors representing countries and regions from the across the globe, presenting a comprehensive range of products and destinations. Up to 5,000 exhibitors from 182 countries and regions are participating at the event. - TradeArabia News Service
